Vít Švec acoustic trio
Formation in the classical engagement (keyboard, double-bass, drums) originated in the year 2000 in Prague, Czech Republic with the participation of a Mexican pianist Mark Aanderud. This collaboration reached its height with the recording of a CD named "Trio '02 - Mark Aanderud, Vit Svec, Pavel Razim", that was released by the publishing house ARTA. Harmonie magazine determine this CD to be "The best Czech jazz recording of the year 2002". The same year Mark Aanderud is being replaced by a young Slovak pianist Matej Benko. At the beginning of September 2003 Jan Linhart is taking over drums. The trio performs regularly in Prague's many jazz clubs as well as throughout Czech Republic Summer of 2004 gave birth to a new CD called "Keporkak". It was again released by ARTA. Vit Svec Trio is focusing on original compositions by Matej Benko and Vit Svec, and on modern interpretations of standards. The compositions by Matej Benko are clearly influenced by classical music as well as latin music.
